In light of the new FDA ruling, Echo Hearing Center is excited to offer a new format for hearing healthcare. As you may have heard, the FDA has finalized its ruling that permits hearing aids to be sold over-the-counter (OTC). We do believe this will lead to a wider variety of options for the hearing healthcare experience. Many of these options will provide lower initial expenses for many patients.
OTC hearing aids will likely benefit many patients with low prices and increased convenience. At the same time, some patients may
rightfully have concerns about receiving follow-up care and general maintenance for their hearing devices (i.e. “Who helps set these up?” or “Who can I call/see if things stop working?”).
At Echo Hearing Center, we are excited and proud to offer what we think is the best of both worlds. We are a full-service, independent hearing clinic, offering hearing solutions from all major hearing aid manufacturers. We are happy to now offer a variety of technology in over-the-counter format.
We recognize that there is no “one-size-fits-all” hearing solution. While many patients may do best with a traditional hearing aid purchase, we know that some patients will do great with a less costly over-the-counter product. Every patient will benefit by discussing any and all options available.
If you are interested in learning more about these how exciting changes can benefit you, call Echo Hearing Center to schedule a complimentary appointment with a caring, licensed professional. This risk-free appointment includes a hearing test and consultation with our audiologist, Nathan Gilchrist.
